It's a rabbit hole, and I'm afraid I'm not being very methodical at this stage. My mother is a Michell and my father is a Campbell. I'm tracing back both of those lines.
Today I found some additional information about my maternal grandparents: Ralph Gordon Michell and Margaret Elsie Shelley. They married in 1934 at St Stephens, Chatswood, which is this church, located in the suburb neighbouring Chatswood, Willoughby.
